I was so taken by The Shack that when I ran across Crossroads by the same author, I had to peek inside. The main character fades in and out of consciousness, encountering others, some real, some imagined, some perhaps holy, some being “ghosts of Christmas past.” As he reflects on his life and choices, it caused me to do the same. Well written and engaging, wonderful experience.
